As an experienced certified labor doula in Castle Rock Jessica has worked through a variety of birth scenarios. She desires to use her experience to help her clients achieve a safer and more satisfying birth. She offers non-judgmental care, gives support to the entire birth team, and constantly works to allow her clients the birth they need, no matter what it looks like.

 The importance of the journey to motherhood for both her family and her clients has allowed Jessica to dream of a better birth for all her clients. She envisions births where the mom and dad are respected as parents not treated as patients: where they can birth their babies into an environment that accounts for the entirety of a new family’s spiritual, emotional, and physical needs, where they will feel safe, secure, loved, and supported, where birth is normal, where interventions are used only when necessary or needed and not for policy and convenience, where each birth is individual and special and will be thought of a nothing else.

Jessica holds a special place in her heart for the care of partners. Above and beyond the care of a typical labor doula, she takes special considerations for the partners individual needs. It is often easy to forget they are also having a baby! Jessica helps to ease partners into parenting, supports the parents as a couple, and empowers partners to be the best support person they can be.

Specializing in Henna Belly Art, Jessica is happy to adorn your body with beautiful henna artwork. It is Jessica’s desire to help you celebrate you special little one by pampering mom and all her friends.

Jessica was inspired to become a doula after attending the beautiful, natural, transformative water birth of a friend in Dec. 2008. She has found that being a doula is a natural extension of herself. She is servant hearted, educational, optimistic, motivated, creative, perceptive, and loving. She attended CAPPA Accredited Labor Doula Training in Feb. 2009 with Ana Hill, CLD, CLE, CCCE. She completed her certification requirements in April of 2010. Jessica has been certified as an Advanced Doula after attending Advanced Doula Training with Cocoon Enterprises and Mountain Midwifery August of 2010.
